April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US is part of a select group of women who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days, she'll attempt to secure her third gold together with fellow first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. As she turns 39, it could be her final chances to secure an Olympic gold medal. She's still feeling confident but she is not sure. If we perform at our very best or even if we play properly, I'm sure we'll win the gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. Additionally, I'm going attempt to get chance. Ross born in 1982, and lived within Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started competing in sports in Newport Harbor High School. In Newport Harbor High School, she competed in numerous activities. As a student-athlete she also participated in indoor track and volleyball. She was clearly the best player in indoor volleyball. According to her bio, she was a middle blocker and an outside hitter in the volleyball court throughout her high-school career. Her efforts were recognized by her being selected as 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions' National Players of the Year. In 2000, she won an Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Even though Ross and Klineman are a couple since 2017, the former had been an experienced athlete on the beach way before they teamed up. She has played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball for a long time. Ross actually won several tournaments, including one with a legendary volleyball superstar. From 2007 until 2013, she was teaming by Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Kessy and Ross were extremely successful on the world of professional sports, winning a 2009 world title together. They also won the Silver Medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor clinched gold winning over them. As fate would have it Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner in the event that May-Treanor decided to retire. They took home the bronze medal at the beach volleyball competition in the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans at USC during her college years after she graduated her high school. Ross's time in the Trojans was outstanding. She was an All-American as well as Pac-10 Freshman of Year in 2000. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to reach the Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she experienced a devastating personal tragedy, yet managed to repeat as an All-American. After two more seasons with the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them achieve consecutive championships. She was a great volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross was an major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, was never given the chance to watch her daughter turn into a beach volleyball superstar. When Ross was in her sophomore year studying at USC her mother passed away of cancer of the breast. Ross is still awed by the memory of her parent. Margie is an ever-present source of inspiration for her, both at and off the beaches.
