April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is among the few female beach volleyball players to achieve this feat. In Tokyo in the coming days, she'll attempt to net her third medal along with first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is determined to earn more than her first Olympic medal. It could be the last chance she'll ever have as she is 39 years old. The athlete is optimistic, however most prestigious prizes are just a few steps away. Ross said on NBC Boston that he believes if they play their most effective, and even play one of their best games, we'll be in the running for gold. This is why I'm going to try a little bit of luck too. Ross was born the 22, 1982, on the outskirts of Costa Mesa California. She lived with her family in Costa Mesa. Ross went on to play across a variety of activities at Newport Harbor High School. Apart from the indoor game, she played basketball and jogged track as an athlete in the pre-professional stage. When she played in the final sport she clearly stood out. During her high school career she was a middle blocker, outside hitter and setter on the volleyball court, according to her college bio. The results of her efforts were acknowledged by her selection as the 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions' National Players of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Ross and Klineman are performing their duties from 2017. However, Ross was already an established player in the world of beach volleyball prior to Klineman and Ross joined forces. She's won big competitions with a variety of partners. In one of the tournaments, she is a legend in the volleyball world. For six years from 2007 to 2013, she worked together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Kessy and Ross were strong on the world of professional sports, winning a 2009 world title together. The duo eventually captured an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They were beaten out for the gold medal by the legendary duo consisting of Misty June-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. The duo went on to get bronze in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was part of the Trojans at USC during her college years after she graduated high school. Her time at USC was awe-inspiring. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA All-American Freshman of Year honors and was an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans in reaching the Final Four. During her sophomore season, she experienced a devastating personal setback, but she was able to be a second All-American. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans to the top of the mountain to win consecutive national titles. Ross was an excellent volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the college's top female volleyball player. Ross was a student of internationally-related studies at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the opportunity to see her daughter become the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross lost the breast cancer that she battled in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. But, she will always remember her deceased parent close and close. Margie is an inspiration while on the beaches, and throughout her life.
