Despacito A song performed by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. It became the most one streamed music at that period within six months. It combines reggaeton and pop, which not only brought new attention to reggaeton but also the popularity of Latin music. In 2015, there were only two predominantly Spanish-language tracks on the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. At the peak of Despacito's fame 19, 19 tracks mostly Spanish have made it into the Top 100. By 2020 it will be 41 tracks in this category. In the wake of Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in 2017, many popular musicians began to join forces with reggaeton artists. Drake and Bad Bunny have collaborated for the track MIA MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna and Maluma joined forces on Medellin in the year 2019. In the years 2020, many Reggaeton stars were dissatisfied with its direction toward mainstream. But, the younger generation, Rauw Alejandro wanted to push forward the progression. It often utilized elements of electronic dance music as well as other styles.
